We received some great advice on where best to enjoy the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Much of the Grand Canyon Lodge area is closed until at least July 23 because of a water main break. Bad for business but great for enjoying the area with no crowds!
First stop was Point Imperial, the highest view point of the canyon.
Quick stop at Vista Encantada.
Then off to Roosevelt Point for a short in-and-out hike with more amazing views.
Keeping with National Park rules....no dogs on the trails...15 lbs extra makes me re-think wanting to go on an overnight hike where you have to pack all your stuff....
And back up!
Tailgate lunch....Yum yum and nice cold brewskies!
Last stop on this side of the canyon at Cape Royal.
Lu really notices these birds because they are almost her size!
This is Angels Window.
Last stop was at the Grand Canyon Lodge and a hike up to Bright Angel Point!
And the final view enjoying our $10 a glass beer!! Cheer
