Lu was off to Doggy Daycare again...looking forward to days when she is comfortable to be left in the RV without the help of a pill....one day maybe, but until then she must adjust to this.
It's great when they give you an update. She cries and howls when we leave....hard on me...but then she settles in fairly quickly.
She's the leader of the pack here...or is she trying to get away but she's being followed? Not sure.
Some if the busier National Parks in the USA have come up with a timed entry reservation system. It only costs $2.00 and it allows you a one hour window to enter the park. Prevents great lineups and also eases congestion in the park. Great idea! Our slot was from 1:00-2:00 entry today so made for a lazy start.
The muddy waters of the Colorado River..
This park is one of our favorites, close to Moab, lots of pullouts and scenic points and such a vast contrast in scenery along the entire drive. It's 30 miles round-trip.
Pretty sure this was our favourite stop. Double arch with Elephant Butte! Yes and we see 🐘!
There are many windows or arches in this one small area.
Then off to view the most famous arch in the park, Delicate Arch. We contemplated hiking the 3 mile round trip....briefly but thankfully decided not to. Lots of factors, 1.5 mule strenuous straight up hike over very hot rock with no shade, 34 degrees heat and climbing, hottest part of the day and Lu had a 5:00 pickup time...maybe another time...
Time slipping away quickly we finished up the drive a little quicker on the return...
Made it back for Lu with about 10 minutes to spare...was I sweating a bit? For sure.!
Like Durango, Moab is super dog friendly. The Moab Brewpub actually allows them inside on pub on thr concrete areas! I think Lu loved the cool concrete after a long hot day!
Walked a short 10 minutes into town to an outdoor theater where they have live music....today...not so live....a very slow mellow sounding music which could lul you to sleep! One quick beer and we made our escape!
