June 6 - We made it!

We had such an amazing quiet peaceful night!

Awoke to another beautiful warm day.

Lu certainly shocked us this morning by walking over a cattle grate like it was something she had been doing all her life.

And I finally got behind the wheel and drove the RV! Yikes, I think George was as nervous as I was...so nervous we missed our turnoff and found ourselves on a different route than we had planned! But we made it! Pretty sure I like being the co-pilot WAY better...and George would agree! He's a PRO!
It was a windy dusty drive for sure! Beautiful scenery along the way, no animals to be seen anywhere though.
It's pretty dry out here, lots of dust storms but through it all lots of wild flowers along the way.

Love this re-do of an old barn.

Finally made it! Lu has been searching for the green grass that she loves to run in....but so much out here, but she will adjust.  This is our view for the next few days....breathtaking!
