June 25 - on the road to Idaho

After four nights it was time to pull up stakes and get on the road. Always new roads to travel and new things to see.

Left the rocks behind...

The landscape changed quickly...rest stop.... not for us....weird and wonderful things in Green River. Many things in town just died....except this place...

Truck still parked out front like someone just ran in the store for something...

Local bank... and t-shirt place...all just a bit odd....

We drove one of the deadliest highways in Utah.....had forgotten that's what they named this one....it's a popular way for trucks in and out of Salt Lake City, Utah....people get impatient as it's long, straight and flat... so lots of head of collisions.. and then to add more danger....free range cattle...great!

Drove through Salt Lake City...took almost 2 hours to get out of the traffic. Very nice city just not pulling an RV.

Left the city driving for green rolling hills, a welcome site from the rock and dirt and sand..

Then off to  Passport America campsite in Downey Idaho...

Lu and this guy were trying to be friends...

And then to top off the night and to make this vacation just perfect.....fireflies in Idaho...
